Sepura has won the contract to supply KMar, the Royal Military Police in The Netherlands, with handportable TETRA terminals. This prestigious win was achieved in conjunction with Getronics, Sepura’s longstanding partner in The Netherlands.

Following the pilot project for the Royal Military Police at Schiphol Airport in 2002, KMar has decided to supply its whole nation-wide force with over 3,000 SRP2000 radios. This is Sepura’s award-winning handportable, acclaimed for its lightweight and ergonomic design.

In addition, Sepura will be providing software upgrades for the next five years that will enable KMar to take advantage of the future terminal and network features.

Roger Dowling, Deputy Managing Director for Sepura, said: “We are particularly proud of this success for several important reasons. KMar was our very first customer in The Netherlands and this order marks the culmination of over two years work during which we faced extremely stiff competition.”

“After the success of our radios with police forces world-wide, this valued partnership with the Royal Military Police confirms yet again Sepura’s deep knowledge and understanding of police officers’ needs and requirements.”
