The fire brigade of the province of Drenthe in the Netherlands is the first Dutch fire brigade to have chosen Sepura TETRA mobile terminals.
After extensive field trials Drenthe Fire Service has decided to equip its operational vehicles with Sepura SRM2000 mobile radios.
Developed specifically for use in the public safety market, the versatile SRM2000 mobile supports multiple data applications and dual control consoles. It is deal for fire service vehicle applications as these can be installed at both the front and the back of the fire trucks.
The SRM2000’s flexibility and easy integration were key factors in the decision making process for the Drenthe Fire Brigade. Moreover, Sepura’s mobile terminal can remotely monitor other devices on the fire vehicles.
In addition, the SRM2000 is future-proofed as it integrates with mobile computing and by supporting packet data transmission. It interfaces with remote databases and supports advanced command and control systems.
Eric Geelhuysen, Sales Director of Zenitel, said: “Zenitel, as leading supplier of TETRA equipment within the C2000 network, is very proud to be the first company to supply a state of the art TETRA product such as the Sepura SRM2000 terminal to the Fire Service in the Netherlands.”
“Having built our reputation in this market by offering innovative and integrated solutions, we were quick to recognise the flexibility offered by the SRM2000 mobile radio.”
